International Chia-Link Network

The concept of the Chia-Link Network is to stablish a framework which brings together scientific, technical and industrial groups who work in the all the areas related to chia (Salvia hispanica L).

The overall objective of Network is to create a cooperative environment with the international scientific community and joint efforts towards promoting safety, sustainable, tasty, nutritious and healthy food with chia/chia by-products via collaborations among the sectors involved in it research, institutions, industry and society.

La Red Chia-Link nace en noviembre de 2015 como resultado de un Proyecto de Cooperación Multilateral entre Argentina, Chile, España y México llamado “ESTUDIO FÍSICO-QUÍMICO, NUTRICIONAL Y TECNOLÓGICO DE LA CONTRIBUCIÓN DE SUBPRODUCTOS DE CHIA (Salvia hispanica L.) COMO NUEVOS INGREDIENTES ALIMENTARIOS EN EUROPA” Ref.: i-link0923 CSIC-MINECO (2015-2016).

Entidades participantes: CIDCA-UNLP-Argentina; PUC-MAIG-Chile; UADY-Mexico; IG-CSIC-Spain; y IATA-CSIC-Spain.

Los participantes del Proyecto celebraron su I Conferencia Internacional y en ella participaron las instituciones: ESPOL-Ecuador, FURG-Brasil, UMaza-Argentina, CIAL-España, UMH-España y empresas del Sector quienes se sumaron al Proyecto de formar una Red Internacional de Chía.
